Adaptive Education

Adaptive Education is a support program designed to assist students with specific learning needs and also extends students with particular strengths and interests. This occurs through the differentiated curriculum in place within classrooms, through withdrawal groups and 1:1 tutoring. Students are supported by Education Support Officers, in consultation with parents and the classroom teacher.

Inclusive Education

Funded students are supported through the Catholic Education Office's Inclusive Education Program. All students in this program must meet Commonwealth Government criteria for funding. These criteria are based on the level of adjustment made to individual student's personal plan for learning and linked directly to documentation submitted as part of the national consistent collection of data on students with disability.  Students are provided with individual support, small group activities and modified classroom programs, as required.

The Adaptive and Inclusive Education Programs at St Joseph's School focus on the learning needs and strengths of individual students. This support encourages students to experience success and develop confidence as a learner.
